'Make The Audience Care' Course

With Maria Peters

[A brand new improv course]

What's this, then?

A course of 4 workshops spread over 2 months.

Every other Friday we'll spend 3 hours exploring different ways we can toy with making our audiences care.  The class will be filled with exercises and scenes experimenting with different characters, their choices and relationships.

Who are these workshops for?

Aimed at an intermediate to advanced level improvisers i.e. You're performing improv in front of audiences and feel comfortable with general scene work.

Note: These workshops are not suitable for beginners who are new to improvisation.

What will the workshops cover?

Each session will involve improvised scenework and checking in with the audience to gauge realtime feedback.

We'll be exploring questions like:

  • What makes the audience care if this character (or relationship) succeeds?

  • What makes the audience believe the character is being truthful?

  • Why are we feeling a certain way toward a character or relationship?
