Each place on the retreat includes:

  • 3 nights award-winning accommodation. Friday afternoon check in and Monday midday check out.

  • 5 x improv workshops, totalling 10 hours

FAQs

WHAT IS IT? 

It's a long weekend in Cornwall on a lovely farm retreat. The venue is made up of converted barns set amongst fields with orchards, hairy cows and gorgeous nature walks, the perfect place for a joyful weekend of improvising & retreating. 

WHEN IS IT? 

Arrive at the retreat: Friday 25 June 2021 - between 4-6pm 

Leave the retreat: Monday 28 June 2021 - by Midday

WHERE IS IT? 

It's called Lower Marsh farm. 

Near Saltash, Cornwall, PL126NG

WHO'S GOING? 

It's going to be a small (bijou) group. There are only 10 places available. 

HOW DO I GET THERE? 

Trains from London to Plymouth or Saltash are around £80 return if you book in advance. Then you'll need to book a taxi from the station to Lower Marsh Farm.

WHAT WILL WE DO THERE? 

Aside from doing around 10 hours of Improvisation workshops, you can make use of the retreat facilities like: the outdoor hot tubs, the fire pit, the tennis court, the games room, the indoor log fires, the meditation well, the hammock in the orchard etc.

And there's lush forest and the sea nearby for lovely nature walks too. 

WHERE WILL WE SLEEP? 

There are 2 barns and 1 cottage with bedrooms and bathrooms in. Each room will be made up to have either 1 king size bed or 2 -3 x single beds.

WHO IS IT FOR?

This one is for Improvisers who have been taking classes or performing for at least a year. It's not suitable for beginners but we hope to run a beginners introduction to improv retreat and an advanced improv retreat soon.

WHAT WILL WE EAT? 

The food is all included! What? I know! The retreat venue can also cater to dietary requirements too. So you will get 3 meals as well as morning and afternoon tea refreshments.  Hurrah!

WHAT WILL A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

You’ll wake up, say hello to your room mate if you have one, if not, say hello to the sunshine and chickens outside your window followed by this loose timetable...

 

 08:00 - A relaxed warming breakfast  

 09:15 - (Optional) Morning pages & creativity session 

 10:30 - Improv workshop 

 13:00 - Tasty lunch

 13:30 - Chill and enjoy the retreat facilities

 14:30  - Improv workshop 

 17:00 - Chill and enjoy the retreat facilities

 18:30 - Delicious 2 course Dinner 

 19:30 - The evening is yours.  Relax around the fireplace shooting the breeze & playing games in your cottage or unwind in your room.

Also Sunday morning will be extra chill - there will be a retreat masseuse on site for 

45-minute massage sessions that can be booked in advance.

On Sunday night there will be an outdoor bonfire with marshmallows & mulled wine/alcohol-free mulled apple cider.

 

HOW MUCH IS IT? 

Prices start from £499 and go to £699 depending on your accommodation type, .

To secure a place you will need to pay a deposit upon booking.

WHAT IF COVID CANCELS THE RETREAT?

Due to ever-changing government guidelines regarding Covid 19, this retreat may be cancelled on short notice. Should this happen, all attendees will receive a full refund of fees paid to Maria Peters Associates Ltd. We would strongly advise you hold off buying travel tickets to Cornwall as those costs will be subject to your own insurance and not refunded by Maria Peters Associates Ltd.
